Look for your Chamber information coming weekly from the Perham Area Chamber of Commerce.
The mission of the Chamber is to promote the Perham Area to as many people as possible. To get people to the area to shop, visit, or live, is the goal.
By getting more people to the area (#’s) we all are affected financially, directly or indirectly. Along with promotion, the Chamber is there to unify the business community, and support where and whenever possible to make our area stronger and a better place to work and live.
Your Perham Area Chamber of Commerce has taken many strides since 2007 to take steps everyday towards our mission at hand and work towards attaining our goals. Following are some changes and accomplishments of your Chamber since that time.
Financial
· Fiscal Hub- cancelled for fiscal accountability as of 7-1-07
· Financial/Accounting changes – Fiscal & Budget Responsibility
· A/P consistency and accountability
· Media Sales – Feb. 09-
· Member opportunity yearly “package” developed-
· Member Bonus Marketing introduced- cooperative funding for marketing
Structure-Operations
· Chamber structure and organization- unification-communication – efficiency
· FFA involvement in turtle races – Turtle Care
· Updated Train Rental Contract- and increased activity
· Retail committee structure / Perham Events Committee-
· Communication structure – email distribution list- perham.com -power hour
· Ambassadors Business After Hours quarterly – Power Hour agenda- Fall showcase
· Building Sale 5-08
· Move to City Hall Corner location- Construction and furnishing
· Fundraising Event increases $ / Raffles
· Speaker system/sound system for Turtle Races
· Leadership Banquet and Hall-of-Fame – restructured

· Marketing campaigns have increased and out stretched.
As we continue our mission, we will strive to work with our membership in a cooperative manner to market the area like never before. Look for your Chamber to work hard at expanding our marketing plans and be asking you to work with us. With our board of directors and office staff leading the way, the Chamber wants to work hand in hand with you the member, to accomplish our goals. As we step to the future, we ask that we unite together to do what is needed, to make our area a better place to work and live.
